FAQ

Why do my films have a "tunnel vision effect"?

The "Tunnel Vision" is due to the nature of the the direct transfer and the deterioration of your films. Film projectors use what could be called a "pin point light source" and your film has become thin and has lost color, due to the fact that film
reacts to oxygen, nitrogen and so on (anything and everything) and the plastics deteriorate. As a result the dispersion of light across each frame of the film is not consistent causing "tunnel vision". A scan of each frame would alleviate this problem due to the consistent light source, not pin point. You may be interested in a transfer method know as a "Rank Cintel Transfer", although we do not offer this service on site we will be happy to get a quote for you. These rates tend to be expensive and should be considered for commercial work.
